Super Visa

The Super Visa offers parents and grandparents the possibility of visiting Canada and staying up to 5 years on each entry.

Requirements:

  • Proof of relationship to the child or grand child.
  • Proof of an immigration medical examination and of being admissible to Canada on health grounds
  • Proof of private medical Insurance from a Canadian Insurance company valid for a minimum period of 1 year from the date of entry.
  • A letter of Invitation written and signed by the host child or grand child
  • Proof of Financial support by the child or grand child, must prove that their household meets the Low-income cut-off.
Visa Extensions:

If you want to extend your stay in Canada as a visitor (usually longer than 6 months for visitor visa or longer than 5 years for Super visa) you need to apply for a visitor record.

This is a document that allows you to stay longer.

This document also includes a new date that you must leave Canada.
